Web Design
The design of your website is extremely important. It's one of the most important investments you can make in your business. Careful thought and consideration should be given to every detail of your site. You have our word that we treat each site as our own (we scrutinize every detail!). When we begin designing a site, there's an outline we follow:
- We first ask you a few questions covering details from colors to page size. We also find out if there are special pictures you'd like to use on the site. If there are, arrangements are made to have the pictures sent to Hightide Web Services via snail-mail or e-mail.
- We find out if you are looking for a basic site.....traditional and classic. Or if you are more interested in a more modern look. Often we have certain layouts we show you as examples....to help you give us an idea of what you'd like your site to look like.
- Then we look at a number of other websites in the client's genre to see what we can improve upon.
- We begin the process of graphic art, laying out the design and coding the site. You are shown the first draft......and if you aren't 110% thrilled, we alter what you are less than happy with and try again. We will not move on to the next step until you are beside yourself with joy!
- If you have specified for us to do the editing on the site, we find out what you'd like to say, get all of the information.....then the site really begins to come together.
- After your site is just how you want it, we submit your link to search engines for you. After all, your site (no matter how beautiful it is!) won't serve you at all if others can't find it. We also will add your site to our portfolio on Hightide-web.com to give you further exposure.
As with Graphic Art and Logos, we have found that the majority of web designers charge by the hour. We do things a little differently, we charge by the job. For a list of our prices, please see Rates.
